Hello all, and a happy new year to you!

Had a productive start to the new year! Currently I’m still working on three projects, but have also been working on porting my current games to other platforms!

Below are Air Supply and Gravitrixx on a Kindle Fire:

.Matrixx is also looking a bit nice on the Kindle Fire too πŸ™‚

Other versions I’m aiming for is Mac for Air Supply, and possibly iPad. Also trying to work out how to get stuff onto Windows 8 Devices!

Busy times ahead! Hopefully you’ll see the fruits of my labours over the last year soon!

Thanks for reading, and here’s to a fun filled 2013!

Toodles!

Back to the Mac! A game a week till Xmas! :D

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, News on November 19th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hello all, hope you’re well!

It’s been a busy time here! And I’m embarking upon an ambitious new challenge!

I recently got a Mac Developer license from Apple, and I’m planning on using it!

So look out for a Quantum Sheep game a week, starting this week with any luck, leading all the way up to Xmas! πŸ˜€

Sunshine will be the first game (already submitted to Apple and hopefully released on Friday 25th November) followed by .Matrixx.

After that… well.. I’m still working on it!

Keep your eyes peeled, Mac owners!

Another review for Sunshine and a quick thank you! :D

Hello! πŸ˜€

Well, launch day for Sunshine is drawing to a close for me. Still lots to do to try and promote my little game tomorrow, but it’s been a good day overall!

Thank you to everyone that helped spread the word, and for all the kind words for Sunshine! It’s really appreciated!

As the icing on the cake, this review came in late last night, and is rather wonderful! It’s by arcadelife.co.uk (and we always worry about disappointing them as they’re lovely and know their stuff!).

Fortunately it’s a good review, with an incredible 91/100 on the scoreboard for Sunshine! I had to sit down and have a cup of tea to recover, believe me!

Here’s the review!

Thanks to arcadelife, 148apps.com, theAppReviewer, Twitter and Facebook followers, people that left reviews and ratings on iTunes and everyone else that helped today! It’s been fun and knackering all at the same time!

So that’s day 1… time for bed methinks!

Thanks again!

Making bugs in the sun…

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, iPad, iphone, ipod, Music, News, planets, ProjectSOL, retro, science, shmup, Shooter, space, stars, Sunshine on October 19th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hello all, hope you’re well!

Just wanted to give a quick update on the status of “Sunshine – Here comes the Sun”.

The game has been with testers for over a week now, and I’m listening to all the feedback. Most of it has been very positive, which is lovely!

There are some bugs/niggles though which I’m trying to work through.

The feedback has been awesome though, and I’m excited to nearly be finished (again!).

Seems that when a game is 80% done, there’s always another 80% to go πŸ˜‰

Anyway, I’m working on it! Keep your eyes peeled for the Sun! πŸ˜€

In other news, I’ve finally decided what ‘ProjectCAP’ will be – as in what type of game. That’s a long way off of course, but I’m trying to source the music right now, while also keeping an eye on Air Supply: SOS.

So much to do. So little time!

Here comes the Sun! :D

Almost!

Good progress made is the good news coming out of Sheep Towers! The game is done – it works – you can play from start to finish.

I’ve implemented GameCenter leaderboards for each level, and put in the level progression. It’s all *touch wood* working!

I am having some sound issues, and there are about 100 small things that need tidying up. But it’ll be with the testers in the next day or so, just to give it the all clear.

Hopefully submitting by Thursday/Friday this week, for a release the week after.

HOPEFULLY!!!

Fingers crossed, eh?

Here’s another pic to keep you going!

Cheers,

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been working on Sunshine (!) trying to get it just the way I want it. It’s coming along ok. I’m *hoping* to have something for the testers this weekend.

But then I’ve been saying that for a few weeks now :O

Sorry!

To tide you over, here’s another work in progress screenshot.

Again, it doesn’t give much away, but I hope it intrigues/charms/scares you (delete as applicable!).

Keep looking for the sun! πŸ˜€

Sunshine screenshot! :D

Hello all, hope you’re well!

Here’s the first in-game screenshot from the forthcoming game, “Sunshine – Here comes the Sun” πŸ˜€

I’m sure there’ll be some speculation as to how it plays – indeed, some people have been asking for a video!

I need to finish the game first!

More details will certainly be forthcoming. And while it may not appeal to some, I hope that those that *do* like it will smile, laugh at the silliness, and hopefully cry at the end.

It’s certainly fun making this, and I hope people will enjoy it!

No release date yet – probably end of September/start of October!

Who knows???

Thanks for the interest,

Quick update

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, iphone, ipod, Music, puzzle, retro, Shooter on September 12th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Hello everyone!

Apologies for the lack of updates. I’ve been very busy!

Quantum Sheep, as a company, is kinda growing.

As well as an update to Attack of the Kraken, I’m working on a number of projects at the moment, including:

Project ‘1984’

Project ‘s’

Project AWE

Gravitrix

The first two I’ve been working on for many, many months now.

Project 1984 is a retro shooter, with some of the most awesome music you’ll ever hear from some very talented people! It stands a snowball’s chance in hell of being ‘successful’ thanks to its dated (did I say ‘dated’ – I meant ‘retro’!) look. It really will redefine the term ‘niche’ πŸ˜›

Project ‘S’ was started about a year ago, and has been put on the back burner due to time constraints on myself and the lovely guy who’s doing all the cutesy graphics. I may, in the meantime, make a quick ‘card match’ game for the iPad as an offshoot of the main game. The graphics already submitted are just wonderful.

Project Awe is so secret I can’t even tell you what kind of game it is. In a massive departure from the norm, the game is being made by a group of people that will form a subsidiary of Quantum Sheep. This means the Sheep will effectively become a publisher!

There’s business plans, cost assessments, team meetings (in the pub!), a development schedule, a game design… It’s all very serious! :O No release date for that, but I’m hoping we’ll have something to show people towards Christmas! I hope you’ll like it!

Gravitrix is new. My colleague Jake and I thought it up two days ago, and today we have an almost fully working prototype to play with which is fun as a proof of concept. Three test levels have been made, and Jake and I will share the level building duties. It’s a ‘quick’ game, but that still probably means a few weeks till release!

I’m hoping that Project 1984, Project S and Gravitrix will all be out by the end of November. These things tend to take time though. We’ll see what happens!

In addition, we’ve commissioned a new look website that we hope you’ll like. Don’t worry, all the info here will be integrated into it. Hopefully we won’t lose any of my musings!

So. Busy busy busy! Just wanted to keep the lovely visitors to this place appraised of what’s going on!

The few remaining months of 2010 will be very exciting indeed!

We endager species…

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, iphone, ipod on July 9th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Hello everyone!

We managed to track down a particularly nasty bug today with the help of some lovely internet folk!

It’s great to see things working as they should!

As an added bonus, we spotted another issue and fixed it at the same time.

This just reinforces our belief in limitless testing. We test ALL the time, in the hope that we can get as robust a game out there! We hate bugs… HATE THEM!!!

We’re still hoping to release Project K around July 23rd, but there’s still so much to do, and so little time…

We’ll see what happens!

Wellity wellity wellity…

Posted in App, App Store, Games, iphone, ipod on July 5th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Progress on Project K is still slow and steady – we’re hoping to have something for our testers by Wednesday this week… which will give us the weekend to tidy the game up a bit and address any issues that arise… maybe a video will surface at some point! πŸ˜€

In the meantime, we’ve come up with yet another idea for an app which has great potential. It’s quite different from anything else out there we feel, and we’re just pencilling out how it’s going to work.

It’s a huge art job, though, so it may be a while before you see it. It has to join the queue of other apps we’re hoping to release!

Stay tuned!
