“You’ve taken your first step into a larger world.” – Obi Wan Kenobi, Star Wars

Hello all!

Just a quick note to let you know that old sheepy favourite “Gravitrixx” has made it onto the Kindle Fire!

Yay!

You can find the game here 😀

Also, why not check out our game page for more details!

This is a very exciting start to the new year for me! I’m already looking at getting our other games onto the Kindle, including the much loved Air Supply!

But that’s not all! Testing is going on right now to try and get these games onto Android, and if Microsoft can sort out my account you’ll see them on Windows 8 too.

Busy, busy sheepy!

For now though, Gravitrixx has been a good start! Thanks all for reading!

Turning up the heat! Twice! :D

Hello everyone! 😀

In continuing the commitment towards Air Supply with another update – 1.2 is out now and features:

*Added a new short and sweet track by Mister Beep – this gives the game an awesome 1bit soundtrack of 8 chiptunes in total.
*Added user requested option to allow buttons to remain visible. This can be found in ‘options’ under ‘control settings’
*Added ability to adjust opacity of ‘always visible’ control graphics.
*Reduced amount of stats visible at game end. You can still see the full stats by pressing the button in the top right hand corner of the game over screen.
*reduced loading times slightly
*Some tiny bug fixes

A tiny sneak peek of v1.3 can be found on the arcadelife website here.

Hope you like it and I’m working hard to get the 1.3 to you all as soon as I can! 😀

In addition, Air Supply is listed under ‘What’s Hot’ in both arcade and action categories on iTunes US!

You know what’s fun about that?

Well, in the ‘action’ category, Air Supply is joined by another Quantum Sheep game – Gravitrixx! 😀

Check it out below, top left, bottom right!

I hope they get along!

Thanks to everyone who bought the game and to Apple for the continued support! 😀

A Merry Gravitrixmas! – Now available on the app store!

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, iphone, ipod, puzzle, video, Xmas, youtube on December 13th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Hello everyone!

I just noticed it’s nearly Christmas!

Luckily, we have a Christmas game coming out tomorrow, Monday 13th December!

Link here: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/a-merry-gravitrixmas/id407897537?mt=8

It’s the festive version of Gravitrixx, titled ‘A Merry Gravitrixmas’

There are just over 60 levels to the game, which includes ‘remixed’ versions of levels found in Gravitrixx, along with a healthy dose of brand new levels.

It’s aimed at the Xmas/Kids/Casual market, so there’s an improved tutorial, tilt controls as standard (though Gravitrixx players that liked the buttons can switch to that control method), some awesome Christmassy tunes from Kevin Mcleod and fabulously festive graphics from Ian at Debug Design!

Here’s a video for you!:

Here’s a link to the original Gravitrixx:http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gravitrixx/id404543866?mt=8

Cheers everyone – we’ve had an eventful and fun filled year!  We’ll see you all on the other side, though we’re still waiting on a Gravitrixx update and Gravitrixx Lite to go through!

Hope you all have A Merry Gravitrixmas!

Yay! 😀

Guide Santa in his quest to eat more candy! Boy, is he hungry!

There are 60 levels in total for just $.99, with many remixed from the original, as well as completely new levels!

Tilt controls come as standard on this version, and the game is aimed more at the kids/Xmas market, but will still be a challenge for seasoned Gravitrixx players!

We’ll have a video for you by Monday – launch day! In the meantime, here’s a screenshot!

Hope you like it – more info soon!

Gravitrixx 1.1 is out and about!

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, iphone, ipod, Mobile, News, puzzle, retro, sci-fi on November 30th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Well, the latest version of Gravitrixx is out on the app store now.

It’s just housekeeping really – a few tiny bugs tidied up, the buttons on the side hidden so as not to spoil the view!

We’re hoping to submit *another* update in the next few days that will include:

Tilt controls (as requested by our players!)
A better tutorial (to ease people into playing the game)
Direction indicators (as requested by our players!)

We’re also working on adding a few more levels, but this will be in a later update!

Thanks to everyone that tried it and for the excellent feedback you’ve all given us! We appreciate it!

Next up: Gravitrixmas

No one can be told what the Gravitrixx is. You have to see it for yourself.

Hello everyone!

Well, we’re close to finishing on Gravitrixx. It’s been almost two months in development, but we’re ready to send out test builds to people and see what they think!

Below are some first pass screenshots. They’re very likely to change (in fact, they *have* to!) so take them with a pinch of salt.

The game is pretty much finished. All 101 levels are in and working and giving us the right results.

What’s left is a lot of ‘front end’ stuff (level selection, progress mechanics, and a bunch of art stuff that needs polishing and integrating).

We’re hoping to be submitting some time next week, so look out for the game come the start of November!

Will keep you all updated on progress of course, and will make a video soon as we’re done. It really is turning out to be quite beautiful, but it looks even better in motion!

We hope you’ll enjoy playing it!

Quick update

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, iphone, ipod, Music, puzzle, retro, Shooter on September 12th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Hello everyone!

Apologies for the lack of updates. I’ve been very busy!

Quantum Sheep, as a company, is kinda growing.

As well as an update to Attack of the Kraken, I’m working on a number of projects at the moment, including:

Project ‘1984’

Project ‘s’

Project AWE

Gravitrix

The first two I’ve been working on for many, many months now.

Project 1984 is a retro shooter, with some of the most awesome music you’ll ever hear from some very talented people! It stands a snowball’s chance in hell of being ‘successful’ thanks to its dated (did I say ‘dated’ – I meant ‘retro’!) look. It really will redefine the term ‘niche’ 😛

Project ‘S’ was started about a year ago, and has been put on the back burner due to time constraints on myself and the lovely guy who’s doing all the cutesy graphics. I may, in the meantime, make a quick ‘card match’ game for the iPad as an offshoot of the main game. The graphics already submitted are just wonderful.

Project Awe is so secret I can’t even tell you what kind of game it is. In a massive departure from the norm, the game is being made by a group of people that will form a subsidiary of Quantum Sheep. This means the Sheep will effectively become a publisher!

There’s business plans, cost assessments, team meetings (in the pub!), a development schedule, a game design… It’s all very serious! :O No release date for that, but I’m hoping we’ll have something to show people towards Christmas! I hope you’ll like it!

Gravitrix is new. My colleague Jake and I thought it up two days ago, and today we have an almost fully working prototype to play with which is fun as a proof of concept. Three test levels have been made, and Jake and I will share the level building duties. It’s a ‘quick’ game, but that still probably means a few weeks till release!

I’m hoping that Project 1984, Project S and Gravitrix will all be out by the end of November. These things tend to take time though. We’ll see what happens!

In addition, we’ve commissioned a new look website that we hope you’ll like. Don’t worry, all the info here will be integrated into it. Hopefully we won’t lose any of my musings!

So. Busy busy busy! Just wanted to keep the lovely visitors to this place appraised of what’s going on!

The few remaining months of 2010 will be very exciting indeed!
