Well, SOS has been out less than a month and was featured by Apple on the US App store! Yay!

Thanks to everyone that has left a rating/review on the App stores around the world! It’s greatly appreciated! 😀

An update has just gone live fixing the Game Center problems, so all should be good now 😀

Hello! Hope you’re all good!

 

Life and game development has meant I haven’t been able to post here in a while, though you can keep up with me on Twitter if you like! I’m on there daily!

 

Anyway, I’ve been working on the latest Air Supply game – ‘Air Supply – SOS’.

 

Inspired by the very first game my brother bought for our ZX Spectrum (Jetpac – I got Tranz Am – both are AWESOME), SOS is nearing completion!

 

You play as Spaceman Sam in a mission from the Mothersheep to rescue her children! You fly around the level using a jet pack, picking up sheep and putting them in your rocketship!

When the rocket’s full, you take off to the next level!

It’s fun, honest! Part of the reason it’s taking so long is that I keep playing it for far too long when testing! 🙂

 

A few stats:

• 100 levels!
• 10 playable characters!
• 10 boss characters!
• 10 music tracks to unlock!
• 10 colours/ranks to unlock!
• 12 Perks to unlock
• Explosions! Space ships! Aliens! Jet packs! Oh my! 😀

Hey all, hope you’re well!

 

So, it’s November 1st as I look out the window and I’m wondering where my bloody game is!

 

Oh, you are too? Awesome!

 

Well, it’s finished. I mean really, honestly finished. The unlocks are in, and I just have to add GameCenter to it and it’s ready to ship to Apple!

 

Yay!

 

Unfortunately, even at this late stage, I’m discovering bugs. Like this one:

Scary, eh? But also friendly! It’s saying ‘Hello’ 😀

 

So what does this mean?

 

Well, firstly it means that my game’s very friendly and playful, even when it’s throwing bugs at me! 😀

 

It also means I’m still testing it, and new bugs are still being found and being fixed!

 

What this is leading to is a slight delay. I’m not rushing this out full of bugs that’ll need to be fixed and will annoy people. That’s not the plan.

 

I’d much rather fix it now than after it’s annoyed someone.

 

Having said all that, the game will be released, and released soon. And despite my best efforts, it will have some bugs in it. All software does!

 

I’m just trying to minimise them as much as sheepily possible!

Hello all, hope you’re all good!

I’ve been beavering away at another Air Supply game!

Hurrah!

Sam is back, this time running round whole planets, trying to get to ‘The Void’ where he can pick up an Infinity Cup!

Here’s a work in progress screenshot:

 

 

Gameplay is simple. The basics are:

Jump over aliens.
Tap anywhere to jump.
Double tap to activate a Smart Bomb (I think, therefore I am).
Don’t forget your AIR IS RUNNING OUT!

There are unlocks a-go-go, and an awesome soundtrack by that genius Yerzmyey, who writes his music on retro computers (the tracks were written on a ZX Spectrum/ZX81 with an AY chip).

No trailer as yet, but I thought I’d post a ‘Music Teaser’ video that should whet your aural appetites:

 

 

I’m hoping this one will be a universal build, with GameCenter leaderboards and achievements

Hello everyone, hope you’re all well. Busy I suppose. Very, very busy! 😀

My latest Mac game is out today! Hurrah! You can find it here!

The poor game was rejected by Apple because, rather obviously, you can’t start an app name with a ‘.’ (as in .Matrixx, as it appears on the iPad!).

Anyway, Apple were very good and approved the latest version in record time I think (it was just a few days – thank you, Apple Overlords!) and the game is now out!

Hope you enjoy the game! It features some awesome music by Amiga Agia, and it’s actually a lot of fun using a mouse to control your avatar – very precise and stuff! 😀

So that’s it for 2011 I think! Thanks for all your support, and I’ll post a summary at some point I’m sure!

Hello everyone, hope you’re well!

The sheepy attack on the Mac App Store is well underway with Sunshine being the first strike!

The gameplay is really relaxing on the Mac – all you have to do is move the mouse and click after all! I hope others agree it’s a good translation!

It’s also still available for iPhone and iPad of course, so you can take a little Sunshine with you wherever you are! 😀

Hello all, hope you’re well!

It’s been a busy time here! And I’m embarking upon an ambitious new challenge!

I recently got a Mac Developer license from Apple, and I’m planning on using it!

So look out for a Quantum Sheep game a week, starting this week with any luck, leading all the way up to Xmas! 😀

Sunshine will be the first game (already submitted to Apple and hopefully released on Friday 25th November) followed by .Matrixx.

After that… well.. I’m still working on it!

Hello! 😀

Well, launch day for Sunshine is drawing to a close for me. Still lots to do to try and promote my little game tomorrow, but it’s been a good day overall!

Thank you to everyone that helped spread the word, and for all the kind words for Sunshine! It’s really appreciated!

As the icing on the cake, this review came in late last night, and is rather wonderful! It’s by arcadelife.co.uk (and we always worry about disappointing them as they’re lovely and know their stuff!).

Fortunately it’s a good review, with an incredible 91/100 on the scoreboard for Sunshine! I had to sit down and have a cup of tea to recover, believe me!
