“You’ve taken your first step into a larger world.” – Obi Wan Kenobi, Star Wars

Hello all!

Just a quick note to let you know that old sheepy favourite “Gravitrixx” has made it onto the Kindle Fire!

Yay!

You can find the game here :D

Also, why not check out our game page for more details!

This is a very exciting start to the new year for me! I’m already looking at getting our other games onto the Kindle, including the much loved Air Supply!

But that’s not all! Testing is going on right now to try and get these games onto Android, and if Microsoft can sort out my account you’ll see them on Windows 8 too.

Busy, busy sheepy!

For now though, Gravitrixx has been a good start! Thanks all for reading!

DotMatrixx now available on Mac! :D

Posted in .Matrixx, App, App Store, Apple, Gravitrixx, Mac, Music, News, dot matrix, retro on December 21st, 2011 by George K

Hello everyone, hope you’re all well. Busy I suppose. Very, very busy! :D

My latest Mac game is out today! Hurrah! You can find it here!

The poor game was rejected by Apple because, rather obviously, you can’t start an app name with a ‘.’ (as in .Matrixx, as it appears on the iPad!).

Anyway, Apple were very good and approved the latest version in record time I think (it was just a few days – thank you, Apple Overlords!) and the game is now out!

Hope you enjoy the game! It features some awesome music by Amiga Agia, and it’s actually a lot of fun using a mouse to control your avatar – very precise and stuff! :D

So that’s it for 2011 I think! Thanks for all your support, and I’ll post a summary at some point I’m sure!

Cheers all!

Progress! :D

Hello everyone!

While I wait for early access to Star Wars: The Old Republic, I thought i’d do some work ;)

So what have I been up to!???

Well, with any luck, Gravitrixx for Mac will be out on the Mac Appstore tomorrow! (Friday December 15th). Fingers crossed, eh?

DotMatrixx should be available for Mac too at some point, if it passes Apple’s approval process of course! It’s been re-submitted, so now I’m just waiting to see what happens!

On a related note, A Merry Gravitrixmas is available for iPhone for free! It’s a Xmas themed version of Gravitrixx, and will only be available during the holidays! I hope you like it!

I’ve also submitted an update to Sunshine with hopefully some minor bugs squashed and an extra hat for the holidays! Yay! :D

Look for that *hopefully* next week!

Finally, work still continues on getting Air Supply and Attack of the Kraken on the Mac, as well as possibly iPad. Look for those in the new year.

I’m hoping that next year will see Quantum Sheep games on the Kindle Fire, and maybe some other android based tablets/phones. We’ll see!

And, of course, there are new games in the works. Namely Air Supply – SOS and an adventure game of some sort!

BUSY BUSY SHEEPY!

So, that’s it for now. I’ll post some more updates as stuff becomes available!

Thanks for reading!

Another Sunshine review! And a trip away! :D

Posted in App, App Store, Games, Mac, Reviews, Sunshine, iPad, iphone, ipod on November 28th, 2011 by George K

Hello all, hope you’re well!

I just got informed of another Sunshine review from the lovely people at Macgasm! :D

Here’s a snippet!

“Where Sunshine really shines is with its charm. The cheerful main character is guaranteed to make you smile. Its cartoon visuals are painfully cute and if you’re not beaming by the time you finish, you’re officially dead inside. Hear Us? Dead. Inside. From the silly collectable hats the sun wears (you’ve seen everything when you’ve seen the sun wearing a fez), to the game’s uplifting soundtrack, Sunshine has a fun factor of 30.”

You can read the full review here.

How lovely is that? Thank you! :D

In other unrelated news, I’m flying out tomorrow to the good old US of A to do a little work on a wonderful game that’s due out soon from my friend Joe over at Firemaplegames.com

Joe made the awesome Secret of Grisly Manor, and helped Jake and I out with art for Gravitrixx!

I’m looking forward to seeing him again, hanging out and working on his next big hit!

Yay!

Next blog post from the states no doubt! See you soon!

Sunshine now available for your Mac! :D

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, Mac, Shooter, Sunshine, iphone, ipod on November 25th, 2011 by George K

Hello everyone, hope you’re well!

The sheepy attack on the Mac App Store is well underway with Sunshine being the first strike!

The gameplay is really relaxing on the Mac – all you have to do is move the mouse and click after all! I hope others agree it’s a good translation!

You can find the game here.

It’s also still available for iPhone and iPad of course, so you can take a little Sunshine with you wherever you are! :D

Look out for more Quantum Sheep games for your Mac every week till Xmas! *fingers crossed!*

Cheers!

Back to the Mac! A game a week till Xmas! :D

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, News on November 19th, 2011 by George K

Hello all, hope you’re well!

It’s been a busy time here! And I’m embarking upon an ambitious new challenge!

I recently got a Mac Developer license from Apple, and I’m planning on using it!

So look out for a Quantum Sheep game a week, starting this week with any luck, leading all the way up to Xmas! :D

Sunshine will be the first game (already submitted to Apple and hopefully released on Friday 25th November) followed by .Matrixx.

After that… well.. I’m still working on it!

Keep your eyes peeled, Mac owners!

Making bugs in the sun…

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, Music, News, ProjectSOL, Shooter, Sunshine, iPad, iphone, ipod, planets, retro, science, shmup, space, stars on October 19th, 2011 by George K

Hello all, hope you’re well!

Just wanted to give a quick update on the status of “Sunshine – Here comes the Sun”.

The game has been with testers for over a week now, and I’m listening to all the feedback. Most of it has been very positive, which is lovely!

There are some bugs/niggles though which I’m trying to work through.

The feedback has been awesome though, and I’m excited to nearly be finished (again!).

Seems that when a game is 80% done, there’s always another 80% to go ;)

Anyway, I’m working on it! Keep your eyes peeled for the Sun! :D

In other news, I’ve finally decided what ‘ProjectCAP’ will be – as in what type of game. That’s a long way off of course, but I’m trying to source the music right now, while also keeping an eye on Air Supply: SOS.

So much to do. So little time!

Sunshine – Here comes the Sun! :D (formerly ‘ProjectSOL’)

Posted in App, App Store, Games, News, ProjectSOL, Shooter, Sunshine, iphone, science, screenshots on September 9th, 2011 by George K

Hey everyone!

So, I got some art back from Damien who’s done a lovely job and managed to pretty much match what my friend Dan did art wise for ProjectSOL.

I’m now confident the game’ll get finished! And soon! Yay!

I didn’t want to announce the title – “Sunshine – Here comes the Sun” till I knew I’d be able to finish it!

No ‘proper’ screenshots yet, but here’s one of the title screen as it stands right now :)

Cheers, and I’ll update with more details when I can!

A birthday :D

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, Games, News, iphone, ipod on September 8th, 2011 by George K

Hello everyone!

While getting together a lot of horrible accounts/tax stuff I realised that Quantum Sheep, as a fully fledged company, turned two this week.

Yay!

It’s been a very difficult two years if I’m honest, and one thing has become clear:

If I didn’t love doing this, I’d have given up a long, long time ago.

So, apologies. You’re stuck with me for now! :D

I’ve learnt a huge amount in those two years. Most importantly, I’m *still* learning. And having a blast. So all is good!

What’s next? Well, I’m hoping to officially announce ‘ProjectSOL’ this month – and maybe have it out by the end of September / start of October.

Then it’s all hands on deck for Air Supply: SOS, hopefully out before the end of the year. It’s an iPad/Mac game, but I’m seriously thinking of making an iPhone version too. I’ll see how the game handles on a smaller screen and make a judgement call once I get back into it.

Next year will hopefully see Air Supply 2 come out (I’m hoping for a March launch – a year after the original Air Supply came out. It’ll be a pretty huge undertaking. I don’t know if I can do it, but I’ll give it a good go!

But enough about me! I’d just like to thank everyone that has helped me out over the last two years, be it someone that’s done art for me, music, code help or just advice/support. Far too many to mention, but every little helps, and it’s always hugely appreciated! Cheers!

Secondly, I’d like to thank anyone that’s tried one of my games out. I’m grateful that you gave me a chance, and I really hope you enjoyed your game! Thanks! :D

So – looking forward to the 3rd birthday already! Wonder what will happen in a year…

Hello, a review, and thanks! :D

Posted in .Matrixx, App Store, Apple, Music, News, iPad on July 20th, 2011 by George K

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a lovely day! :D

Just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words about our latest, .Matrixx, which is out and about in the iPad section of iTunes :D

People seem to be enjoying the game, which is lovely, and the numbers are growing on GameCentre every day.

Thank you all for giving the game a shot! Hopefully we’ll get a mention in New and Noteworthy soon (prays to our *very* profitable recently ‘Apple Overlords’) and some more reviews should be coming in soon.

In the meantime, here’s one from the always awesome arcadelife.

Some highlights:

“No birds, no zombies, no tired old physics puzzles; just cool graphics, cooler music and my own personal favourite control method – relative touch. Thank you.”

“You will like this if you enjoy: Getting your hair blown back while riding the cutting edge of indie iPad gaming.”

“This game rocks!”

How lovely is that! Thanks to everyone at Arcadelife for that!

iTunes reviews are also pretty positive!

“Its really addicted, love the very new form of gaming on the iPad and the design is outstanding.”

“This game takes my favorite aspect of arcade shooters, bob and weave and takes away the distraction of shooting. Easy to pick up and play and addictive as they come.”

“Been playing this for 2 hours straight, my finger hurts and it’s so worth the pain!! Lovin’ the music and sound fx, reminiscent of Wipeout, and the gameplay is so addictive, you just have to see for yourself!!”

Thanks to those of you that left such lovely comments/reviews – it’s awesome :D

Oh, and I’m sorry about my seemingly insurmountable high score – it just kinda ‘happened’ :O

Can you beat me? :P

Next: ProjectSOL. Probably. :D
