Sunshine screenshot! :D

Posted in screenshots, shmup, Shooter, stars, Sunshine on September 15th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hello all, hope you’re well!

Here’s the first in-game screenshot from the forthcoming game, “Sunshine – Here comes the Sun” 😀

I’m sure there’ll be some speculation as to how it plays – indeed, some people have been asking for a video!

I need to finish the game first!

More details will certainly be forthcoming. And while it may not appeal to some, I hope that those that *do* like it will smile, laugh at the silliness, and hopefully cry at the end.

It’s certainly fun making this, and I hope people will enjoy it!

No release date yet – probably end of September/start of October!

Who knows???

Thanks for the interest,

QS 😀

Sunshine – Here comes the Sun! :D (formerly ‘ProjectSOL’)

Posted in App, App Store, Games, iphone, News, ProjectSOL, science, screenshots, Shooter, Sunshine on September 9th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hey everyone!

So, I got some art back from Damien who’s done a lovely job and managed to pretty much match what my friend Dan did art wise for ProjectSOL.

I’m now confident the game’ll get finished! And soon! Yay!

I didn’t want to announce the title – “Sunshine – Here comes the Sun” till I knew I’d be able to finish it!

No ‘proper’ screenshots yet, but here’s one of the title screen as it stands right now 🙂

Cheers, and I’ll update with more details when I can!

QS 😀

.Matrixx heading to an iPad near you!

Posted in .Matrixx, App, App Store, Apple, dot matrix, iPad, Music, screenshots on July 11th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hello all! Hope you’re well!

I’m hoping that this Friday (July 16th) will see the release of the next Quantum Sheep game, .Matrixx (pronounced ‘dot matrix’).

The game sees the player posing as a hacker, piloting an ‘avatar’ within the enemy mainframe, ‘Lothos’, trying to collect blue data spheres while avoiding the enemy red data spheres and picking up powerups!

The enemy data spheres are constantly changing direction, and are later joined by ‘Homer’ and ‘Stalker’ enemies – a challenge for most people!

The pressure increases as time goes on, and the game’s very very simple, but fiendishly addictive (helped no doubt by GameCenter leaderboards and unlocks for your avatar, backgrounds and music!).

Here are some screenshots, and I hope you’ll enjoy playing the game on your iPad!

Air Supply gets some Fuel Supply in version 1.3 :D

Posted in Air Supply, App, App Store, Apple, Games, iphone, ipod, News, retro, screenshots on April 11th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hello everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!

I spent mine finishing off version 1.3 of Air Supply!

Yay!

I just finished submitting it to Apple, so hopefully will be with you all very soon!

Anyway, here’s a quick rundown:

Version 1.3:

New mode! “Fuel Supply”

A whole new mode! Spaceman Sam has recovered his spaceship, but wouldn’t you know it, he’s sprung a fuel leak!

*Your ship is constantly being dragged down towards the planet – keep your altitude up by pressing on the left hand side of the screen!
*Keep your Fuel Supply up by collecting the ‘F’ symbols!
*Look out for UFOs and Flying Aliens!
*Avoid the deadly meteorites – they cannot be shot down, so avoid them!
*Select the new mode at the bottom of the Unlocks Selection screen.
*Three new achievements to attain!

And here’s a quick screenshot of the new mode in action:

I hope you enjoy playing it!

Some exciting updates planned for 1.4 and beyond – stay tuned, earthlings, and thanks very much for playing!

Another Air Supply review rolls in!

Posted in Air Supply, App, App Store, art, Games, iphone, ipod, New and Noteworthy, News, retro, sci-fi, science, screenshots, shmup, Shooter, space, stars on March 9th, 2011 by quantumsheep

Hello lovely people!

We’ve had another awesome Air Supply review over at technobrains.com

You can read it here.

Some choice quotes for you:

“The graphics in Air Supply are deliciously retro. And I’m not talking about that garbage where people draw really poor graphics and call it “old school”. It’s clear that a lot of effort was put into making the graphics look like they belong on a pre-NES console. What it proves to me is that such graphics could actually look pretty cool!”

“The bottom line is that this game rocks! As it is I’ve become strangely drawn to this genre of game, but Air Supply has kicked my obsession to a new level. I love the look, I love the music, and I love trying to unlock all the unlockables.”

“If you do not own this gem yet, go out and buy it now.”

We’re so excited and humbled by the overwhelmingly positive response the game has got since launch on Friday!

Thank you everyone that bought it, played it, enjoyed it, reviewed it and then wrote to us to tell us!

Cheers!

Air Supply is available on the App Store now, and can be found here.

Gravitrixx Lite submitted, Gravitrixmas on the way…

Posted in App, App Store, Apple, art, Games, iphone, ipod, screenshots, stars, Xmas on November 29th, 2010 by quantumsheep

Hey everyone!

Jake and I had an intensive week of working on an update to Gravitrixx – we’re adding tilt controls (a user request) and tidying up the tutorial elements to make it easier for people to get into the game.

This has some positive knock-on effects. We’ve managed to include these additions into the ‘lite’ version from day one, and now we have Gravitrixmas to look forward to, again, with all the updates ready!

Here’s your first sneak peak at the Gravitrixmas title screen – we hope you’ll like it!
